Irish by heritage and British by birth, Piers Stephan Pughe Morgan has quickly become one of the most talked about personalities on American television.
A former editor of Britain’s Daily Mail and News of The World, Morgan has authored eight books and hosted numerous television programs in the UK, including Morgan and Platell, The Dark Side of Fame with Piers Morgan and Piers Morgan’s Life Stories.
Although completely unknown in the U.S. at the time, Morgan was hand picked by Simon Cowell to help separate the good acts from the bad on America’s Got Talent. He is the only of the original three judges remaining.
A father of three, Morgan gained even more popularity in 2008 as the winner of Donald Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice.
In January, 2011, Morgan launched Piers Morgan Tonight, a nightly hour long interview program on CNN.
